Local Area Network (LAN)

 Wide Area Network (WAN)

A wide area network (WAN) is a network that covers a much bigger region than a local area network, which could be across a town, a region, a country or the entire world. Usually a WAN can include a much more intricate network of users and devices or LANs at the cost of slower data transfer speeds and larger set up costs.
